In the past I would follow the news like some sort of addict. Especially news that dealt with Muslims and Moroccans. I was totally paranoid. My life was so influenced by this that at one point I decided not to stay in the Netherlands or even Europe after my graduation. I didn’t want to stay in a place that was so hostile towards my heritage and my religion.
Years have passed by and thank Allah, I dare say I’m much wiser now than I was back then. I was naive (in all honesty, I still am a little bit) by allowing the media to have such an influence over me. Let’s face it, they portray whatever they want to irrespective of the truth.
You see, I wouldn’t say that I had any doubts regarding my choice to be a Muslim. Its just that the image of Islam did not correspond with my own view. I kept thinking, how come?
Interests. That’s what it all comes down to. This negative view of the Islam has all to do with the interests of certain parties. I don’t want to go into detail regarding this aspect. But let’s face it. How come, the truth about our Holy Prophet is never told in mainstream media? How come the facts that can be found in the Quran have never been elaborated on by said media? If it was one scientific fact only I would say understandable, but there are so many! How come the Islam is always portrayed as barbaric and cruel? As opposed to the loving and merciful religion it actually is?
Bare with me here. Why would nearly 1.5 billion people be followers of such a cruel faith? Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. Does that not raise any questions in your mind?
Do you know why Islam is the fastest growing and largest religion in the world? I’ll tell you.
The definition of Islam is peace and it isn’t just a religion. No, it’s a way of life. Our Prophet (PBUH) was sent as a mercy to the whole of mankind with the Holy Quran as guidance. This all comes from…
It is only logical that you would want to follow a religion of which its foundations are based on Love, Peace and Knowledge. To love and please the One who named Himself, al-Wadûd, The Loving.
So, in short:
Allah = LOVE!
