As France implements its new law, I can’t help to reflect upon, in this case- the ironic words of the French Enlightenment philosopher- Voltaire.
I would like to stress the importance of bringing forth leaders and representatives with good understanding and with values which strengthen individuals, the organization and the society. By doing so, we can create a peace movement which reproduces leaders with an identity based on Islamic principles and which organize activities and events and take part in the discussions of current challenges concerning all citizens.
Islamophobic and inappropriate remarks in regards to Muslims in France are no longer found amusing. So, I wrote with all my heart and soul, inspired from Emile Zola’s letter “J’accuse”, my open letter to Mr. President, Nicolas Sarkozy.
Why, and how do resourceless countries become outrageously rich while countries full of natural resources remain extremely poor? Why does a country like Burkina Faso, the number one cotton producer in the world, fail to feed its own population when it has the capability of feeding not only its people, but also Africa as a whole?
